Newborn Photoshoot with Parents
A newborn photoshoot isn’t just about tiny fingers and curled-up poses. It’s about the three of you.
Those first days are a blur of feeds, little noises and very little sleep. In the middle of it all, you’re becoming a family. That connection, the way you hold your baby, the way you look at them, is something worth remembering.
What photographs are taken during a newborn session?
At every session, I gently create portraits of your baby on their own. But I also photograph you together, mum and baby, dad and baby, and the three of you as a family.
There’s no awkward posing and no pressure. You simply hold your baby close. I guide you into soft, natural positions that feel comfortable and look effortless.
Do parents need to be in the photographs?
You don’t have to be, but I quietly encourage it.
Years from now, these will be the portraits your child treasures most. Not just how tiny they were, but who was holding them.
Simple white clothing, natural light and your baby in your arms. That’s all we need.
A calm, baby-led experience
Everything moves at your baby’s pace. If they need feeding, we pause. If they need a cuddle, they stay in your arms.
There is no rush. Nothing is hurried. We simply allow the session to unfold gently, with your baby leading the way while I quietly capture those moments as they happen.
In years to come, when your baby is no longer quite so tiny, these photographs will mean more than you can imagine. Not just because of how small they were, but because of how you held them, and how it all felt in those first precious days.
