Photographing a 3 Week Old Baby in Dundee
Three weeks old is such a beautiful stage. Your baby is still wonderfully tiny, but already beginning to stretch, observe and stay awake a little longer. If you’ve missed those first 14 days, please don’t worry — this is still a lovely time for natural newborn photography.
What Is a 3 Week Old Baby Like to Photograph?
At three weeks, babies are often more alert than in the early newborn days. They may spend longer looking around, their features have softened slightly and they’re beginning to uncurl from their womb-like position.
Sessions at this stage usually include a mix of sleepy portraits and bright, open-eyed moments — both equally special.
What to Expect at Your Session
My sessions are completely baby-led. You’re always close by, free to cuddle and feed whenever needed. Babies are gently placed on soft, freshly washed cotton layers in my calm Dundee studio, creating a warm and secure environment.
Parents are always included. Tiny fingers wrapped around yours, a cheek resting against your hand — these portraits quietly become some of the most treasured.
How Many Images Will We See?
You can usually expect to view between 15 and 30 carefully edited portraits at your Reveal Session. These are available individually or as part of a mounted print or wall art collection.
