1st Birthday Photoshoot with Parents
Amelia knows how to enjoy herself and party. She has a cheeky smile that lights up a room. She celebrated her milestone 1st birthday with a photoshoot with her proud parents. I think it’s so important for parents to be included in baby photos. Especially after 12 months of caring for, and entertaining a baby. 52 weeks of sleepless nights, feeding patterns, establishing a routine, giving up on any routine, teething, weening. 12 months of unconditional love for this tiny new human that together they have created.
Amelia loved her little wooden cake and birthday cupcakes. To start with she was very delicate. Sweetly playing with the miniature candles and cake slices. Then she warmed up and we were treated to some wobbly dancing and a range of cute expressions. She was having a ball. It’s wonderful to get parents involved. Playing airplanes was fun and Richard whizzed her up high in the air. She loved my wooden sausage dog and delighted in pushing it around. It tired her out. After a few sleepy snuggles with Mummy and Daddy, she looked at me with big eyes before sticking her toe in her mouth. I’m sure she was working the camera.
These photos show why I don’t do a first birthday cake smash. Loads of fun without the sugar rush ( or a sticky baby)
