Amelie came to the studio when she was around nine months old, a wonderful stage for baby photographs. At this age babies are full of curiosity, big expressions and playful energy as they begin to explore the world around them. Some babies are sitting confidently, others are crawling everywhere, and many are fascinated by the simplest things, a wooden toy, their toes, or the sound of their parents’ voices just beside them. Amelie’s session was relaxed and completely baby-led, allowing us to capture a beautiful variety of natural portraits and family moments.

Amelie’s 9 Month Baby Photoshoot
Nine months is a lovely age for a baby photoshoot. Babies are usually able to sit up for short periods, they are curious about everything around them, and their personalities are beginning to shine through.
During Amelie’s session she spent much of her time sitting, crawling but she is still young enough to enjoy lying on her back, playing with her toes.
At this stage babies are wonderfully expressive, one moment serious and thoughtful, the next bursting into a big smile.
