Natural Newborn Photography
A little white studio specialising in natural newborn and baby photography
Newborns are just delicious. All curled up and sleepy. Newborn photos should ideally be taken in the first 10-14 days. They are still all curled up but at this early stage they change so quickly. Blink and miss seeing that your tiny baby has changed in a minuscule way.
It’s easy to forget the tiny details. miniature ears squished to the side of their heads. Soft, downy, fuzzy hairs on the back of their neck. Little toes, curled mini hands, sleepy stretches….
Don’t miss those first unforgettable months with your new baby. In years to come portraits with parents will become even more treasured.

We are so happy with the pictures that Ally has captured of our baby girl and really enjoyed the whole experience of the new born photo shoot from start to finish. Our baby was just 5 days old during and it was such a chilled out experience. We felt at ease throughout - the pictures are amazing and we'll cherish them forever.

Newborn Photography FAQs
Some questions you might ask about newborn photographs
Why is newborn photography important?
The first few weeks of your baby’s life will go by in a blink. Your newborn will change more quickly in those first few days and weeks than they will at any other stage.
There’s no 2nd chance to capture those precious memories. Newborn photographs will be a priceless reminder of your milk-drunk sleepy babe or your inquisitive little bundle who wants to see their new world. Magical moments that you’ll treasure for a lifetime.
At what age should newborn photos be taken?
2-14 days after your baby is born, is a great opportunity to capture those very curled-up newborn photos. In the first two weeks, your baby will be mostly sleeping and only waking for feeds. This is just a rough guide so please don’t worry if you’re baby is older when you come to Mabel & Møøse. Plenty of the newborn photos that you see on my website are of babes that are older than 2-weeks. I’d suggest you book in for your baby’s session during that 2-week window after your due day. We can always change the date to suit.
Why hire a professional newborn photographer?
When you hire me as your professional newborn photographer you’re not just commissioning me to create beautiful photographs of your beautiful baby. You are trusting me to make the whole experience magical. I have over 25 years of experience as a professional photographer and have photographed hundreds of babies.
If you hire the right professional it’s guaranteed that you’ll get a wide selection of high-quality, incredible portraits to choose from. My style is very consistent and I know how to handle a newborn calmly and safely. I also know how expertly to use light to bring out the unique little details of your baby. For mums that are a bit self-conscious after giving birth, I know all the most flattering angles. Dads also want to look their best too, so I use light and shade to flatter them.
