Baby Lily came into the studio at just five days old, still brand new and wonderfully sleepy. Those early days pass in such a blur, and it’s always such a privilege to quietly document them.

We kept her session simple and natural, using soft white textures and gentle light to let the focus stay on Lily and the connection she already shares with her mum and dad. At five days old, babies are still so curled and settled, which makes this stage perfect for calm, unhurried newborn portraits.

I always encourage parents to step into a few photographs too. Years from now, these are the images that matter most — the tiny fingers wrapped around yours, the way you looked at them in those first few days, the feeling of holding your brand new baby close.
